From Knorr headquarters to multi-tenant property

The Knorr House is one of the most famous commercial buildings in Heilbronn. It is located in Südstadt at the intersection of Knorrstraße and Sontheimer Straße. It is precisely at this point that the building stands out for its semicircular, multi-storey glass construction. The building has been part of the Heilbronn cityscape for many decades. The complex offers a total rental area of 17,000 square metres.

Aamundo would like to revitalize the property and re-let it. First of all, the building should be independently supplied with electricity, water and heating. This is currently connected to the neighbouring Knorr Campus. There are also plans to improve the quality of the building by installing new air conditioning and ventilation systems, dividing the windows and reorganizing the office space. The aim is to divide the building into several office spaces of 400 square meters or more for a majority of tenants.

Unilever, as Knorr’s successor, will continue to use the property and rent around ten percent of the space. The Aamundo Real Estate Group is an investment manager based in Frankfurt that focuses on the German real estate market and operates active asset management to exploit value potential. The seller of the property in Heilbronn is the Unilever Group, which acquired Knorr in 2000. At that time, the takeover also included Knorr’s real estate. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
