Airbus Germany – Hamburg-Finkenwerder as central location

The Airbus plant in Hamburg-Finkenwerder is of central importance for Airbus Germany. Within the division of labour within Airbus’ manufacturing organisation at various locations, final assembly takes place in Hamburg on four production lines – for the A318, A319, A320 and A321. For the A380, the plant in Finkenwerder is responsible for some fuselage sections. Airbus SE in Leiden, the Netherlands, is the umbrella for all Airbus companies, operating externally as the Airbus Group. Civil aircraft construction takes place under the roof of Airbus S.A.S. in Toulouse. Next to Boeing, Airbus is the largest aircraft manufacturer in the world. In addition to civil aircraft construction, Airbus is also active in space technology and as a defence company.
