LEONI today operates globally and has nearly 95,000 employees worldwide. The Company has production facilities in Germany, Slovakia, Turkey, Poland, China and Mexico. It also has a global sales and engineering network. The company name is derived from the leonian goods. This is how products made of wire mesh are described. Since the late Middle Ages, Nuremberg has been a centre of the Leonese industry in Germany. LEONI’s beginnings can be traced back to 1569. In 1917, various Nuremberg-based electronics companies merged to form Leonische Werke Roth-Nürnberg AG. This later became what is now LEONI AG. The shares of the company are in free float.
