The most important companies in this field include Fill GmbH, Emco GmbH and Linsinger Maschinenbau GmbH.

1. Fill GmbH

Fill GmbH, headquartered in Gurten, was founded in 1966 and is active on the international market as a manufacturer of numerous technologically sophisticated machines for the aerospace industry, the automotive sector and special machine construction. 2. Emco GmbH

Emco GmbH from Hallein is one of the leading companies in the manufacturing industry, specialising in the production of high-tech machines with the aim of making various production processes in a wide range of sectors – such as the automotive and electronics industries – faster and more efficient. The machines are equipped with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) technology,a computerised system for automating various machine tool operations. The company’s successful models include the EMCOMAT series as well as the MAXXMILL and EMCOMILL machines, which are used in various industries and are an indispensable tool for machining large workpieces. In 2023, the company generated a total turnover of 497 million euros worldwide

3. Linsinger Maschinenbau GmbH

Linsinger Maschinenbau, based in Laakirchen, is a company with more than 80 years of tradition and, with an export share of over 80 per cent, is one of the leading suppliers in the international mechanical engineering sector. With over 500 employees in 53 countries around the world, the company is characterised by the quality of its services and the performance of its technologies, which include milling systems, cutting systems and web technology.The company is particularly well known for its focus on green technologies and innovations in the field of mobility,such as the first hydrogenpowered rail milling machine, which represents an important step towards emission-free mobility.
