1st place: Siemens AG, Munich/Berlin: 86.8 billion euros (2019)

Siemens is a global company that offers an unmanageable number of products, solutions, and systems in the fields of technology and electrical engineering. Hager SE is an owner-managed family business that was founded in 1995 in Blieskastel in the Saarland. It operates on the market as the Hager Group. The company is focused entirely on electrical installations in residential, industrial and commercial properties.

With approx. 11,500 employees, Hager manufactures at 22 locations in 10 countries and sells electrical installation technology worldwide. The product range comprises four divisions: Energy distribution and meter panel systems, cable management and room connection systems, security systems, switch ranges, and building control. They also cooperate with Audi in the field of electric mobility.

3rd place: Busch-Jaeger Elektro GmbH, Lüdenscheid: 475 million euros (2019)

Busch-Jaeger Elektro is part of the Swedish-Swiss power and automation technology group ABB (Asea Brown Boveri) and has been in existence since 1879. The production of parts for electrical installations forms the company business model. The product range comprises approx. 6,000 different products.

Busch-Jaeger supplies classic switches, sockets, plug devices, dimmers or motion detectors, but also stands for smart home solutions, and networked building technology. Production locations are Lüdenscheid and Bad Berleburg-Aue. Busch Jager employs around 1,300 people and exports its products to more than 60 countries.
