In 1945, it was taken over by the Swiss Migros-Genossenschafts-Bund with a turnover of about 5 million CHF. The company still belongs to Migros today with around 1,000 employees. Bischofszell Nahrungsmittel produces potato products, ready meals, frozen products, jams, fruit juices and non-soda beverages. Sales to food retailers account for around three quarters of sales. A.Vogel AG is focused entirely on natural healing products – especially fresh plant juices and extracts. The company, with around 500 employees, has borne the name of its founder Alfred Vogel (previously: Bioforce AG) since the beginning of 2020. Vogel earned a reputation in Switzerland as an advocate of natural medicine – especially with the help of healthy nutrition. As early as 1920, he opened a health food store in Basel, followed in 1929 by the founding of the publishing house A. Vogel, followed by the founding of Bioforce in 1963. 3. Biotta AG, Tägerwilen: approx. 30 million CHF turnover (no current turnover available)

Biotta can count itself among the pioneers of products from organic farming in Switzerland. The company emerged from Gemüsebau AG Tägerwilen, which was founded back in 1931. Swiss organic pioneer Hugo Brandenberger took over the company in 1961 and created the “Biotta” brand. Organic juices and, more recently, organic smoothies make up the Biotta business model. In 2005, Brandenberger sold the company to Thurella AG, a fruit and vegetable juice producer in eastern Switzerland. This in turn was acquired by Zurich-based food group Orior AG in May 2018. Since then, Biotta has been part of the Orior Group.
