Three becomes one

The acquirer is Zürn GmbH & Co. KG in Schöntal in northern Baden-Württemberg. The company originally goes back to a village smithy and is still a manufacturer of agricultural machinery itself. However, the focus is on the trade with agricultural machinery. The sales partnership with John Deere forms an essential mainstay.

Up to now Zürn GmbH & Co. KG is represented by four partner companies at ten locations in the northern part of Baden-Württemberg. Now Landtechnik Vertrieb Windsbach GmbH in Windsbach near Nuremberg in Franconia and Zürn-Heber-Kröll Landtechnik GmbH & Co.KG in Kanzach in the Swabian Alb have been added. Landtechnik Windsbach contributes two locations with three partner companies and Zürn-Heber-Kröll four locations with two partner companies. The enlarged Zürn GmbH & Co. KG will thus comprise 16 locations with a total of 190 employees and will be responsible for John Deere sales in Baden-Württemberg and the northern half of Bavaria.

By merging the sales units, it is hoped to achieve a more powerful sales organisation overall and to exploit synergy effects. The existing employees will continue to be employed as part of the takeover. The previous managing directors of the two companies taken over will in future be employed in a managerial capacity at Zürn GmbH & Co. KG in the future.
