Further development to increase values

The acquisition of a mixed-use property in Darmstadt-West should be seen against this background. The property is located in an industrial area in which many well-known companies are based and has a convenient location. It has a rental area of a good 2,600 square metres and is currently used for production, logistics and office purposes. The aim is to find a new use with a service concept. To this end, it is planned to invest up to EUR 24 million in the property. The buyer of the property is ERWE Immobilien AG – a Frankfurt real estate company and project developer whose investments are aimed at increasing the value of the property through targeted further development and “upgrading”. The investment focus is on inner-city commercial properties. Projects realized by ERWE Immobilien to date include the Frankfurt Airport Center 1, the Friedrichsdorf/Taunus business park, the Passage Lichthof Lübeck, a department store in Krefeld and the historic Postgalerie in Speyer.
