Three become one – leading digital service provider for DACH space
Waterland is a Dutch private equity investment company whose investment focus is largely in Germany. The company is headquartered in Bussum in the Netherlands and was founded in 1999. In Germany, the company is present with its own subsidiary in Hamburg. Waterland acts as an active shareholder and plays a key role in the further development of the companies in which investments are acquired. With this start, investments have already been made in over 600 companies.
With the investment now completed, the three IT service providers Beck et al. GmbH, Binary GmbH and Direkt Gruppe GmbH were taken over. Beck et al. GmbH in Munich is a solution provider for public cloud infrastructures and services. The Essen-based company Binary sees itself as a private cloud specialist with a comprehensive range of services for users. The Hamburger Direkt Group offers the operation of cloud infrastructures and cloud transformation services. In the future, these three companies are to be merged into a managed enterprise cloud platform and operate as a single group under unified management. The range of solutions in the private cloud and public cloud sectors is aimed at medium-sized and larger companies in the DACH region. These companies are to receive support in the digitalization of business processes. With its three acquisitions, Waterland intends to “assemble” a leading digital service provider. The founders of the three companies will remain leaders in the new group and will also have a stake in it.
