Klöckner & Co SE as umbrella with subsidiaries in Europe and overseas
The company, founded by the merchant Peter Klöckner, started as early as 1906 as the trading company Klöckner & Co. From the very beginning the founder was committed to expansion, and the company grew rapidly. The two World Wars each meant deep cuts with great challenges, but Klöckner was always able to master them successfully. Since 1997 the group has concentrated on its traditional core business: steel and metal trading. Klöckner & Co SE functions as the corporate umbrella and is the parent company for a large number of Group companies, most of which are regionally based. In addition to the German Klöckner companies, there are subsidiaries for Belgium, Brazil, the rest of the DACH region, France, Great Britain, Mexico, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
