Place 1: Migrol AG, Zurich: CHF 1.2 billion in sales
Migrol is the mineral oil subsidiary of the Migros Group – one of Switzerland’s largest retail organizations – and has been in existence since 1954. Migrol’s core business is the operation of service stations, service station stores and heating oil sales. Cleaning services are also offered in connection with this core business. For example, Migrol operates several dozen car washes in Switzerland – often in combination with service station operations. Cleaning services are also offered in the heating oil and heating sector. These include tank maintece, tank overhaul and tank cleaning, boiler descaling and cleaning, wood pellet storage cleaning and stove ash disposal. Migrol employs more than 200 people.
Place 2: ISS Switzerland, Zurich: CHF 757 million in sales
ISS A/S is a Danish group focused on facility management and maintece of real estate as well as facilities. The company operates in 77 countries and employs 477,000 people. ISS Switzerland has been in existence since 1967 and combines ISS activities in the country. With 12,500 employees, ISS is one of the major Swiss employers. Cleaning services play an important role in the service portfolio. ISS Switzerland generates its largest revenues with customers in the ficial services and IT sectors. At the end of the 1990s, it took over the maintece of Swisscom properties nationwide. The company has 36 Swiss locations.
Place 3: Vebego AG, Zurich: CHF 240 million in sales
Vebego is an internationally operating family-owned company headquartered in the Netherlands that has been in business since 1943. Real estate management and facility management services form its business model. Vebego offers its services in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland and employs over 34,000 people. The Swiss business is bundled under the umbrella of Vebego Schweiz Holding AG. Cleaning services are provided by the subsidiaries Vebego AG (facility management cleaning), Cleaning Services SA (real estate cleaning and maintece) and Vebego Airport AG (airport and aircraft cleaning). Vebego Switzerland has approximately 8,000 employees.
