List of 3 large photovoltaic installers in Austria
In times of climate crisis and a more uncertain fossil energy supply, the installation of photovoltaic systems plays an increasingly important role. In the following we present three active PV installers from Austria, which are also part of our list.
1. Secundo Photovoltaik GmbH, Ebensee
One company that focuses on installing PV systems for commercial customers and industrial companies is Secundo Photovoltaik GmbH. The Ebensee-based company has realized projects on a wide range of scales, from smaller PV systems with an output of 11kWp to large-scale projects with 1 MWp. A first large-scale ground-mounted project was also implemented by the nearly 20 employees of Secundo Photovoltaik.
Update 2024: Secundo continues to be a highly active PV installer. Among other things, the company has already equipped 45 Turmöl filling stations with a photovoltaic system. The tower oil filling station at the Altmünster site alone has reduced CO2 emissions by 13.47 tons per year.
2. ÖKOVOLT Solartechnik GmbH, Ostermiething
ÖKOVOLT Solartechnik GmbH, based in Upper Austria, is part of a leading group of companies in the field of photovoltaics, which operates in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The company is a full-service provider of photovoltaic systems for both commercial and private customers as well as for municipalities and builds solar parks as well as individually planned PV systems. In addition, Ökovolt also offers service, monitoring and maintenance services. Meanwhile, the output of the installed systems comprises 340,000 kWp.
3. SELINA PHOTOVOLTAIC GMBH, Vienna
With more than 300 PV systems installed, Selina Photovoltaic GmbH is a leading provider of PV installations in Austria. With offices in Vienna, Salzburg, Tyrol and Carinthia, the company is active in several provinces. Selina specializes in the development, planning, construction and operation of large-scale PV systems for industry and commerce and thus operates as a general contractor. In addition to the core market of Austria, the PV installer is also represented in other European countries such as Germany with installed large-scale systems.

Methodology of the list creation
To compile our PV installer list, our research team conducted a detailed analysis of the Austrian solar industry. For this purpose, the top rated and most relevant PV installers were identified in each major city in Austria. The entries were primarily based on the number of installed systems and customer ratings. In addition, installers of ground-mounted systems and solar parks were identified with special focus. These were also immediately classified as “top installers”. In addition to major cities, regional areas were also searched for the leading installers.
Note: Despite our intensive research and detailed analysis, it is always possible that additional PV installers would need to be included based on installed capacity. For this, we are constantly updating the list and look forward to your input at contact [at] listenchampion.de.
