The UK has an important role in the interconnectedness of the world. The UK and especially London act as a major hub between the US and continental Europe. For this reason many data centre investors are situated in the UK. 1. Global Switch (London)

Global Switch is a British dedicated data centre company situated in London. The company was founded in 1998 and has an outstanding reputation in the development of new data centres. Global Switch operates 13 data centres in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region and sets new standards in size, resilience, and connectivity. The company’s data centres have a combined size of 428,000 sqm of floorspace and are carrier and cloud neutral. 

2. Netwise (London)

Netwise is a data centre operator founded in 2009. In the short time the London-based firm has developed into one of the UK’s leading data centre companies and colocation service providers. Netwise operates two data centres in London while also having three partner centres. The firm offers multiple solutions like colocation and hosting services.

3. UKFAST (Manchester)

UKFAST is a Manchester-based hosting and colocation provider. The company offers a multitude of different services including dedicated server hosting, critical application hosting and cloud hosting for the UK’s private and public sectors. Aside from the services the company owns and operates a data centre complex with more than 30,000 sqft of space.
