1. JAFFÉ Rechtsanwälte (Munich)

The commercial law firm JAFFÉ Rechtsanwälte PartG mbB headed by Michael Jaffé is one of the most renowned law firms in the field of insolvency administration. KG aA and Qimonda AG as insolvency administrator. The firm specializes entirely in national and international insolvency law and has offices in Munich, Cologne and Frankfurt.

Update 2023: The renowned firm literally continues to play at the top when it comes to liquidations of insolvent organizations. Most recently, JAFFÉ handled the insolvency of former third-division club Türkgücü Munich, whose losses in the millions were significantly higher than originally anticipated. The club started the 2022/2023 season in the fourth-tier Bavarian Regional League.

Overview of the most important insolvency law firms

Our list of the most important law firms for insolvency administration provides an easy overview of the industry. In addition to general contact details for the companies’ headquarters, the list also includes the names of the management and a listing of the cities in which the law firms maintain additional offices. A ranking from A to C is intended to provide an initial rough sorting by size and helps to structure the data.

Tasks of bankruptcy trustees in the German economy

After a company has opened insolvency proceedings, the insolvency administrator, appointed by the insolvency court, takes over. This person takes over the administration of the insolvency estate. In detail, this means that the insolvency estate is first analyzed and determined, a list of creditors is drawn up and a decision is made on the future of the ailing company. This makes insolvency administrators an important figure in the German economy, both on the creditor side and on the company side.
