They offer not only pure software or hardware, but – as the name suggests – complete systems consisting of three components: Custom-fit software, the necessary hardware for it, and the corresponding services around it. In other words, complete turnkey solutions from IT experts from a single source. In the following, we present 3 large IT system houses from our extensive list in more detail.

1. Bechtle AG – Neckarsulm

Bechtle, based in Baden-Württemberg, is by far the largest IT system house in Germany and, with over 85 system houses and 14 IT trading companies, is now positioned as a highly relevant player throughout Europe. The company’s product range is as diverse as its customers – from corporate groups to medium-sized businesses to public-sector clients – whether it be direct IT sales including custom-fit services, the operation and maintenance of IT infrastructures, or full-scale system integration or training. In summary, Bechtle plays the entire IT keyboard around the core topics of digitalization, cloud, modern workplace & security. In addition, the recycling of used IT is also an important topic in the company’s life cycle process. The comprehensive range is rounded off by targeted financing services via Bechtle Financial Services AG. In 2021, the public limited company generated revenues of over 6.2 billion euros and had almost 13,000 employees in the same year.

2. Cancom SE – Munich

A very renowned IT systems house is Cancom SE, headquartered in Munich. In the field of digital transformation, it supports companies of various sizes and the public sector in optimizing their IT architecture. Cancom sees itself as a hybrid IT integrator and service provider and is at home in the areas of business solutions, managed services and cloud computing. The Group generated revenues of approximately EUR 1.3 billion in 2022 and now manages 80 locations in Europe, most of them in the DACH region. The Group’s parent company CANCOM SE is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in the TecDAX and SDAX.

3. Atos Information Technology GmbH – Munich

Atos is an absolute heavyweight among the European service and consulting companies for information technology. The company has its roots and headquarters in France (Bezons) and is listed on Euronext Paris as a Societas Europaea. In the respective target regions, it operates through national companies – in Germany, this is Atos Information Technology GmbH, based in Munich. Its core competencies include transaction services, UC’s (Unified Communications), Cloud, Big Data and cyber security. More than 100,000 employees work for the group worldwide, which most recently generated sales of around EUR 11 billion. The Munich-based company’s revenue in 2021 was around EUR 1.5 billion with around 6,300 employees.
